GRADE - Starting Salary $50,000 - $56,000

SUMMARY


The Scheduling & BOM Assistant is responsible for developing the production schedule to satisfy customer demands consistent with the plant capacity, while also assisting in the design, creation and maintenance of all production parts and bills of material (BOM) within the Keilhauer ERP system (Syteline), as directed by the BOM & Scheduling Supervisor, while providing assistance to the BOM Specialist.

In this role, you are responsible for entering new orders into the schedule and making adjustments to accommodate changes.

When requests for changes are received, you work to respond quickly, knowing that Keilhauer's ability to be flexible and responsive is key to delivering excellence in customer service.

You will also assist with the strong collaboration with Purchasing Agents, Customer Service and other stakeholders will be critical to meeting business goals.


This role is best suited to a detail-oriented and analytical thinker with exceptional problem solving skills who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

You are approachable, helpful, and precise in all that you do, knowing that your role enables the entire company to work towards meeting our goals.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience working in a fastpaced manufacturing environment is an asset.
  • Postsecondary certificate or diploma, preferably in Business Operations, Supply Chain or related field.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook and other technical programs; advanced skill level in Excel is required; previous experience using SyteLine or similar ERP is an asset.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • This position requires long periods of focused reading and typing.
  • Must be capable of multitasking and able to work with mínimal supervision.
  • Must be able to handle frequent interruptions to planned work activities.
  • Must be able to respond and adapt quickly in a dynamic and changing environment.
  • Must be able to handle the stress of dealing with issues in a professional manner.
  • Must be willing to participate in seminars, training and/or thought leadership relevant to the position or industry.
  • Follows all company and OSHA Safety regulations; works in a safe manner and uses personal protective equipment, if required; reinforces housekeeping and Keilhauer's core values.
