Job summary
We are seeking a Career Advisor to join our team at YWCA NextStep Youth Program in Kelowna. As a Career Advisor, you will work with youth aged 16-30 who are facing barriers to employment and provide them with the support and resources they need to achieve their goals.In this role, you will build relationships with youth, conduct intakes and assessments, help participants create action plans, provide referrals for employment and education opportunities, address potential behavioral or mental health situations,
Maintain accurate client records ensure confidentiality,
Assist youth accessing external community supports accompany them if needed,
Help them develop resumes cover letters interview preparation job search strategies attend meetings discuss program updates participant needs Collaborate with local service providers recruit clients Develop facilitate workshops on employability job search topics using hybrid technology Stay updated labor market trends job postings employment issues community resources education planning volunteer opportunities perform administrative tasks as required.
