    Position Overview:


    We are seeking a skilled and experienced Structural Engineer to join our team as a Solar PV Load Assessment Specialist.

    In this role, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive load assessments for rooftop-mounted solar PV arrays. Your expertise will ensure the structural integrity and safety of installations in compliance with regulatory standards.


    Key Responsibilities:
    Perform structural analysis and assessment for rooftop-mounted solar PV arrays.

    Develop detailed load assessment reports to ensure compliance with regional building codes and regulations.

    Collaborate with project teams to evaluate site-specific conditions and design requirements.

    Utilize industry-standard software and methodologies to conduct structural calculations.

    Provide technical guidance and support to internal stakeholders, including project managers and installation teams.

    Stay updated on relevant industry standards, best practices, and emerging technologies.


    Requirements:
    Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.

    Professional Engineer (P.Eng) designation with stamp and seal in the provinces of British Columbia, Alberta, and Manitoba.

    Minimum of 1 year of experience in structural engineering, preferably in the renewable energy sector.

    Proficiency in structural analysis software such as SAP2000, ETABS, or equivalent.

    Strong understanding of building codes and regulations related to structural design and safety.

    Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex engineering data.

    Effective communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

    Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering accurate and high-quality work.


    Preferred Qualifications:
    Master's degree in Structural Engineering or related field.

    Experience specifically related to rooftop solar PV projects.

    Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar drafting software.

    Previous experience working in a consulting or engineering firm.
