Mercedes-Benz Kitchener-Waterloo is looking for a
Shop Assistant
The Shop Assistant is responsible for assisting all team members within the Service department, specifically within the shop area.

The position will consist of carrying out shop cleaning duties as well as transporting products to apprentices and technicians, and other areas of the dealership.

Other duties may be assigned by the Shop Foreman or Service Manager.

Job Duties:

General cleaning of entire automotive shop area.
Transports goods and services within the shop and other areas of the dealership.
Checks supplies, materials, and hand and power tools in the automotive shop area.
Cleans, paints, lubricates, repairs, and maintains equipment.
Answers telephones and provides information to routine questions.
Assists in the maintenance of a safe work environment; utilizes and disposes hazardous materials.
Assists other areas of the dealership when required.

Ideal Requirements

Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Able to lift items which may exceed 50 lbs.
Excellent interpersonal, communication (verbal & written English) and customer service skills.
Detail oriented and excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
Ability to work efficiently and effectively under pressure with simultaneous deadlines.
