SEASONAL Labourer III - Public Works, WATER & SEWER

The City of Martensville has two (2) openings for Full-Time Temporary Seasonal Labourer IIIs in the
Water & Sewer department.

SCHEDULE:

Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Earned Days Off (EDOs) scheduled every third Friday.
The 2024 employment period will be April 29 through October 24.

This role performs a wide variety of duties and is responsible for the following:

JOB DUTIES:

Assisting with regular maintenance and repairs of water & sewer infrastructure.
Maintenance and repairs at the municipal lagoon.
Operate small equipment for Public Works.
Minor maintenance of small equipment.
Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

Applicants must:
Be available for work April 29 to October 24, 202
Be safety conscious and demonstrate a high level of attentiveness to their own personal safety as well as that of their coworkers and the public.
Be able to perform physically strenuous work and to work outdoors under various weather conditions.
Have their Grade 12 diploma and a valid Class 5 Driver's License.
While policies and safe work practices are in place to minimize risk of contact, Hepatitis A & B (TwinRix), Tetanus, and Diptheria vaccinations are required.
Experience in equipment operation, general labour, or construction is preferred.
Municipal work experience is considered an asset.

RATE OF PAY:

As per CUPE local Agreement: $19.00/hr probationary rate; $21.11/hr full rate.
