Our Trauma Coordinators provide telephone intake services at a steady pace.Their work includes the initial assessment of the client organization's needs and urgency, as well as the assignment of qualified/appropriate service providers to provide the required support.
They have the ability to work in a fast call center environment or from home with multiple deadlines, they demonstrate great sensitivity, listening and are able to empathize and manage crisis situations responsibly, professionally and intelligently.
- Equivalent college or postsecondary bachelor's degree or diploma in health sciences or social work (or another field related to human services);
- Two (2) years of experience in the field of customer service, preferably in a social service or office environment;
- Exceptional customer service skills, coupled with strong verbal and written communication skills in French and English;
- Ability to provide adequate client services and ongoing client support;
- Strong human relations skills, team spirit and the ability to make critical decisions on their own, if necessary;
- Great attention to detail, excellent ability to multitask at the same time and good decisionmaking skills;
- High sensitivity to people and ability to express empathy;
- Ability to manage crisis situations responsibly, professionally and intelligently;
- Ability to work night shifts and weekends.
