Standard BioTools is looking for a highly motivated
Research Associate I to join our exciting and growing proteomics Discovery Lab (SDL) team based in Markham, ON.

This individual will actively participate in all customer imaging and suspension projects with the entire team.


Description:

  • Develop an advanced understanding of the suspension and imaging mass cytometry platform.
  • Execute laboratory experiments using both imaging and suspension mass cytometry on tight deadlines to drive revenue.
  • Possess attention to detail and understanding of the process in the execution of scientific methods
  • Maintain records to ensure a laboratory environment that complies with regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO 13485), good laboratory practices, and standard operating procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A degree in life sciences, such as immunology; MSc is preferred.
  • Experience in flow cytometry and mass cytometry workflows (e.g., sample prep, cell staining, sample acquisition, antibody conjugation) is an asset.
  • A minimum of 1 year experience in flow cytometry OR mass cytometry is desirable.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret scientific and technical reports, technical procedures, validation protocols and reports, operating instructions, and scientific publications.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills to enable multitasking.
  • Attention to detail is essential.
  • Collaborative attitude within and outside own discipline.
  • Ability to relocate to the Greater Toronto Area in Ontario, Canada.
