LPS is currently seeking
FULL TIME applicants for
East Ottawa Contract. Successful applicants will demonstrate strong knowledge in the Criminal Code of Canada, Citizens Powers of Arrest, and Trespass to Property Act and have a security orientated education

Specific Expectations - Steel Toe Boots maybe be a requirement of employment (not provided)


Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide security to people and property
  • Follow proper procedures and protocols
  • Write extensive incident reports while utilizing knowledge in Trespass to Property Act and Citizens Powers of Arrest
  • Represent Loss Prevention Services in a professional manner at all times

Minimum Requirements:

  • Valid Ontario Security Guard License
  • High school Diploma (preference will be given to Police Foundations/Law & Security graduates)
  • Cell phone with a data plan
  • Ability to work on weekends
  • Physically fit to walk for extended periods of time
  • High degree of honest & integrity
  • Reliable vehicle is an asset

Compensation:

  • Entry level position: $17.50$19.00 per hour based on experience and education
  • Paid training
  • Medical benefits for full time employees

Schedule:

  • 10 hour shift
  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift
  • Evening shift
  • Morning shift
  • Weekends as needed

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Ottawa, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
