    Job Summary
    The Carrier Procurement Specialist is committed to achieving optimal levels of service engagement between our Carrier Partners and Titanium Sales Staff. This role is responsible for evaluating carrier options and arranging the movement of freight for our customers, ensuring service quality metrics are achieved to support both customer and Titanium expectations. Total customer satisfaction is our ultimate goal and this team works to link communication, solution and action between all parties.

  • Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Source carriers to match available loads in a fast-paced setting
  • Work alongside the Compliance department to qualify new carriers to Titanium's standards
  • Build rapport and develop relationships with carriers and integrate them into our system
  • Secure carriers with competitive rates, and ensure fair market prices to help build and sustain partnerships while achieving the highest profitable margin
  • Maintain a solid understanding of market conditions and carrier pricing trends to maximize profit margins
  • Research carriers, identify potential business partners, and generate interest to help develop business relationships, including carrier in-person vetting
  • Maintain and expand our database of carriers within the Transportation Management Software (TMS)
  • Achieve spot rates by interacting with multiple carriers all at the same time
  • Assist Customer Experience Representatives (CXR) and sales with problems when escalated
  • Confirming accessorial extra charges to be sent to the carrier
  • Communicate with carriers from pick up to delivery to meet deadlines and arrange changes if necessary
  • Take the initiative and identify potential risks and/ or problems; work to resolve problems
  • Choosing the correct type of certifications when booking the truck and all permits if needed
  • Adhere to performance standard guidelines as defined by the Key Performance Indicator (KPI) schedule
  • Job Requirements

  • Proficient with the use of a computer with the ability to regularly adapt to new and changing software, as assigned
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills
  • Successfully complete all assigned training and participate in recertification, as required
  • Preferred

  • Previous experience in a supply chain logistics environment would be considered an asset
