Job Description:


The Project Analyst defends the Canada Goose brand thorough continuous improvement projects and will be responsible for the maintenance and implementation of all major project plans and initiatives related to the function of Quality Assurance for Canada Goose.

The Project Analyst will implement the principles and practices of Lean Six Sigma to ensure that projects achieve a high return on investment, higher QA performance and increase customer benefits.

The role will involve developing close working relationships with all Project Stakeholders and will also be connected to Cross Functional Projects in which Quality is featured.

The Project Analyst plays a strategic role in improving key processes in QA, as well as, coaching and training others in tools and techniques.


Qualifications:


Key Responsibilities:

Projects

  • Develop the project charter, integrated project plan, staffing resource plan, contingency plan and other project management artifacts.
  • Work to help solidify project objectives and connect them with the right business process owners.
  • Support Managers and SME's through data analysis to provide data driven recommendations.
  • Report on projects and develop project status communications to QA, Warranty and Compliance Senior Leadership.
  • Alert all stakeholders on needed updates for all documentation based on the tracker
  • Support on standards, tools and procedures for use on the project to include issue management, risk management as well as change process.
  • Support management on implementing new project tools.
  • Ensure new initiatives/best practices are documented and their business impact is measured.
  • Review SOPs, guidelines and QA documentation according to cadence and reach out to correct Subject Matter Experts if necessary.
  • Research and advise on new tools and equipment that could enhance CG Quality and/or Project Management.
  • Complete postmortem of new initiatives to identify areas of success and opportunities of improvement for future projects.
Work Cross functionally

  • Support crossfunctional strategic projects which require complex project management and coordination. Examples of these projects include, MLL Project and Reduction of Cost of Poor Quality (FY21 value at $9 million) and to be the key representative for Quality & Compliance for the Traceability project.
  • Identify business processes, roles within those processes, and develop workflow diagrams with multiple swim lanes using Microsoft Visio or other industry standard tools
Budget & Invoicing

  • Provide analysis of forecasts against actuals for QA & Compliance $1.5 million testing budget and $200K travel budget.
  • Track project expenses and validate financial forecasts
  • Develop, maintain a post covid formula to measure staffing effectiveness. Analyze, report, and provide recommendations based on the analysis for staffing within QA teams.
  • Responsible for budget deliverables each quarter and fiscal year
  • Support on key deliverables for the financial performance of Warranty's $9 million annual provision
  • Responsible for processing QA invoices and purchase requests in CG's ERP system

Experience, Education and Designations:


  • Bachelor's degree in business or a relevant discipline
  • 4 years work experience in an operational role or managing projects
  • 3+ years of business process mapping experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer competence in MS Project, PowerPoint, Visio, Word, and Excel
  • Lean Six Sigma training is considered an asset

Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:


  • Technically savvy; knowledge of how ERP, BI systems, up to date on new technologies
  • Strong strategic thinker and a strong ability to convey new concepts
  • Ability to analyze statistical and financial reports
  • Ability to translate a best practice into practical use for Canada Goose
  • Ability to translate data into information for those who will rely on it
  • Ability to build collaborative working relationships with internal colleagues and external vendors
