What is the opportunity
Addenda is deeply committed to Sustainable Investing and has an active engagement program, climate, and impact strategies along with being a Net Zero Asset Manager (NZAM).
We are in need of support in our impact and climate assessments and reporting along with helping team members with ESG thematic research.
This role will provide compressive exposure to the many tasks and activities of a sustainable investing team within an asset management firm.
You will work with a team of seasoned Sustainable Investing professionals as they support colleagues advance in ESG integration, deepen their research on climate risks and net zero, along with improving transparency and reporting to clients.
What you will do
You will be emersed in project such as:
- You assess the environmental and social impact outcomes of green, social bonds and impact investment;
- You assess corporate climate transition plans and performance;
- You research ESG topics such as net zero, indigenous issues or biodiversity;
- You study new thematic research areas for our Impact Fixed Income strategy;
- You help Sustainable Investing team members prepare for strategic engagement meetings with companies;
- You assist in the evaluation of proxy votes.
What you will need to succeed

Experience and knowledge
- You are a third
- You are a good researcher and navigator of datasets;
- You have an Interest in Sustainable Investing;
- Knowledge of green bond market and/or of impact investing reporting practices is a bonus;
- Knowledge of Canadian Indigenous issues and experience working with Indigenous organizations or businesses will be considered an asset.
Skills and Abilities

- You have effective analytical and problem solving skills;
- You have timemanagement skills with an ability to prioritize and multitask;
- You have a high level of attention to detail.
