In accordance with the Mission, Vision and Values, and strategic directions of Northern Health patient safety is a priority and a responsibility shared by everyone at NH, and as such, the requirement to continuously improve quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.
The Clinical Resource Nurse provides leadership in the delivery of care activities in defined areas of clinical expertise. Supervises and provides work direction to staff. Acts as a clinical resource for nurses, nursing students and the interdisciplinary team.Assists staff in providing quality care and related quality assurance requirements for an identified patient population by providing information based on theory/practice, assessing clinical/technical skills and participating in the direct patient care as appropriate, in accordance with established standards, policies and procedures.
Shift Rotation/Hours of work:
: Monday to Friday, Days, 07:00 to 15:00

Baccalaureate in Nursing, plus 5 (five) years recent clinical experience in a related program or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Leadership:
Promotes staff morale, cooperation, assertiveness and risk-taking, creative planning for change and innovations, implementation of NH policies or other protocols, and ongoing professional development of self and others.
Management:
Manages time and resources, implementing activities to promote cooperation among relevant others, supervising responsibilities of others, collaboration across disciplines and related activities.
Teaching:
Ability to transmit information intended to instruct clients and others about topics essential to health care and well-being.
