TECHNICAL WRITER (Remote within Canada)


Reporting to the Vice President of Product Management, we are seeking an ambitious
Technical Writer to join our high-energy, growing team.

This position will ensure that all product documentation is accurate and easy to understand to support our clients and client-facing teams.


As a Technical Writer, you must be:

  • A problem solver who can assess obstacles, prioritize solutions and work collaboratively to achieve results.
  • Selfmotivated and able to work with limited supervision.
  • A handson learner who is not afraid to roll up their sleeves.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:


  • Define, design, and write userfriendly enduser documentation, including text, diagrams, and other visual aids to give the target audience the information they need to be successful.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive documentation strategy.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to assess documentation requirements and priorities.
  • Set standards and guidelines for product documentation.
  • Obtain a broad understanding of Multiview's offerings, to translate complex information into simple, engaging, and informative content; be familiar with the product, product features, and target users, for the purpose of optimizing documentation.
  • Evaluate current content and develop innovative approaches for improvement.
  • Manage the delivery of documentation through various company channels; drive the change.
  • Ensure consistency and integrity of documentation practices across the company.
  • Update documentation as needs is identified and new features are delivered.
  • Actively participate in continually improving processes and team initiatives
  • Demonstrate Multiview's core values, building and advancing the reputation of the company and its clients.

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:


  • A degree, diploma, certification, or equivalent in communications, English, Journalism, Marketing, or related field

A minimum of three (3) years of recent demonstrated experience as a
Technical Writer providing professional, comprehensible, intuitive, and high-quality documentation

  • Knowledge of software documentation principles, processes, and tools
  • Advanced MS Office Skills
  • Ability to extract information from interviews, technical documents, test data, and handson work and convert it to an appropriate level for the intended audience.
  • Demonstrated analytical, organization, interpersonal, and problemsolving skills.
  • Innovative thinker with a growth mindset
  • Proven ability to work independently and manage a high volume of projects.
  • Resourceful and selfmotivated, ability to work under mínimal supervision and/or strict deadlines, on multiple projects.
  • Willingness to be coached, mentored, and driven to reach your fullest potential.
  • Build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.

PREFERRED:

Experience Level: 3-5 yrs. Technical Documentation Writer experience

  • Prior ERP Software experience is considered an asset.
