    About the Position:

    This is a temporary part-time support staff Bargaining Unit position reporting to the Associate Director, Marketing & Recruitment working 24 hours per week at an hourly rate of $29.03. This role will start asap and end August 1, .

    We are offering an exciting opportunity to utilize your well-developed presentation, organizational, and interpersonal skills to market Lambton College as the first-choice post-secondary option to our diverse target audience. You will speak to a variety of external audiences including secondary school students, young adults, and other adults in the local area and across Ontario about our College and programs. This involves speaking with key influencers to these individuals including parents, teachers, and school guidance counsellors. Without a doubt, a multifaceted opportunity such as this one will be a highlight on your resume in your future employment endeavours.

    This is a 10 month job, with the months of July & August off each year.

    Specific Accountabilities:


    •Communicating thorough knowledge of Lambton College's programs, services, and student success support systems to potential students and their influencers

    •Delivering dynamic presentations (e.g. virtually, as well as face-to-face, small, and with the possibility of large groups of secondary school students, parents, community groups, community agencies, etc.)

    •Accessing pertinent information about secondary schools in various settings in Ontario in order to contribute to the development and delivery of an appropriate recruitment plan

    •Professionally representing Lambton College at all times while communicating effectively with an audience of varying age groups

    •Demonstrating the ability to be flexible, adaptable, and accountable for assigned scheduled tasks when unforeseen situations occur

    •Conduct Campus Tours. Showcase our institution's campus to prospective students, families, and visitors

    •Providing engaging and informative tours, highlighting the key features, facilities, and academic programs of our campus

    •Conduct advising appointments: Meet with students individually to discuss their academic progress, program requirements, course selection, and other related matters

    •Input data and maintain records within the customer relationship management system (CRM)

    •Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications:


    •Minimum of 2 year college diploma in a related subject field

    •Ability to work independently with indirect supervision

    •Familiar with social networking media tools and able to supply content

    •Excellent presentation, diplomacy, and communication skills with a customer service orientation

    •Strong organizational skills for itinerary planning

    •Able to work independently within a team environment

    •Demonstrated ability in operating a personal computer utilizing a variety of business software including Customer Relationship Management System, mobile devices, word processing, spreadsheets, and email applications

    •A valid driver's license and proof of current auto insurance

    •Willing to do extensive car travel within the province to targeted schools with occasional overnight stays

    •Available to work nights and weekends
