If you're a Construction Surveyor seeking a fly-in/fly-out camp-based position on one of the largest infrastructure projects in Canada, then we have the opportunity for you Apex Geomatics is looking for experienced Construction Surveyors to join our team in Kitimat, BC, starting immediately.

Essential Responsibilities:

Manage and perform various field survey tasks independently or with the aid of a Survey Assistant.
Effectively communicate with the client, supervision, drafters and our support staff.
Inspect, operate and maintain survey equipment and vehicles.
Prepare and communicate daily field notes, sketches and reports according to job specifications and Apex operational procedures.
Ensure full compliance and active participation in Apex Geomatics' Health and Safety Program.
Adherence with quality assurance procedures and quality control practices.
Provide mentorship and training to Junior Surveyors and Survey Assistants.
Liaise with client representatives to coordinate survey tasks, priorities and deliverables.
As a representative of Apex Geomatics, you are to conduct yourself with a professional, cordial attitude with clients.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Diploma in Geomatics Technology or equivalent amount of related experience.
Minimum of 2 years experience as a Surveyor, preferably in the construction industry.
Proficient use and knowledge of Trimble RTK, Robotic Total Stations and related software.
Technical competence and a strong attention to detail.
Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to collaborate with team members.
Valid Class 5 Driver's License and clean Driver's Abstract.
CSTS 2020 and WHMIS 201
Line locating experience would be considered an asset.
Experience with Civil 3D and Trimble Business Centre are also considered an asset.
