The Surrey School District's Grounds department is seeking temporary full time semi-skilled workers to join their team for the busy grass cutting season with flexible start dates commencing as early as March 2023.
- trimmers; loading and unloading trailers; transporting equipment to work sites and other assigned duties to help this very busy department.
Qualifications
Applicants will be required to have the following:
- Completed grade 12 or equivalent;
- A valid unrestricted class 5 BC driver's license with a safe driving record;
- Relevant experience and training in the operation of light, mobile, selfpropelled equipment;
- Experience operating a tractor is an asset;
- Experience performing general labour in an outdoor grounds or parks environment;
- Landscape maintenance and/or construction experience is an asset;
This is a unionized position that offers up to a 37.5 hour work week with an hourly wage rate of $24.30.
