Payroll Specialist - Unionville, Canada - Metergy Solutions LLC

Position Summary

Responsibilities:

• Process payroll for approximately 300+ salaried team members for Canada and US
• Responsible for all transactions related to the team member life cycle are submitted accurately and within the required payroll deadlines
• Reviews team member timecards using Time and Attendance system; identifies inconsistencies; liaises with managers to resolve issues
• Prepares payroll documentation, records and files appropriately to regulatory bodies
• Provide support to special projects and implementation of HR initiatives
• Additional administration support

Qualifications:

• University degree or College diploma in Human Resources Management or Business Administration
• Previous Payroll Administration experience with a focus on payroll and/or benefits administration preferred
• Knowledge or experience of US and Canadian payroll principles is an asset
• Familiarity in using outsource payroll systems, Ceridian Dayforce in particular preferred (but willingness to learn qualifies)
• Proficient knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite
• Someone with the discretion, tact, diplomacy, and attention to detail that are essential
• Someone with exceptional oral and written communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent at time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
• Passionate about delivering exceptional HR services to our leaders, team members, and potential future hires

This is a Hybrid role with 3/5 days in office.
