As an Actuarial Manager (Individual Contributor) on the Commercial Pricing team, you will be leading pricing initiatives to drive profitable growth for Commercial Insurance (Aviva Business and Global Corporate Specialty), and driving discussions to get buy-in from all stakeholders to ensure alignment on strategic initiatives.

You will get the opportunity to use data to put the customer first at a massive scale, using advanced analytical techniques, overlaying that with deep business knowledge to create actionable insights, models and tools that support Aviva's strategic priorities and help customers defy uncertainty.

As a Manager, you provide leadership to other staff, manage your project goals and timelines, and drive stakeholder buy-in's with brilliant presentations.


What you'll do- Develop, lead and implement pricing initiatives to achieve profitable growth in Commercial Insurance- Take ownerships of process improvements to recommend actionable items to improve analysis and pricing workflow- Review rating algorithms utilizing latest predictive modeling technique to ensure the rating structure is reflective of emerging trends, underwriting insights, and data constraints- Collaborate and communicate across the business with various stakeholders to ensure the pricing vision is achieved.

Be able to communicate technical concept to non-technical audience and engage with business stakeholders to drive pricing proposal discussions- Build strong relationships with all key stakeholders at the head office and the field.

Identify the needs of our partners and tailor solutions that serve their needs and maximize value for commercial insurance.- Provide technical guidance to junior staff members and motivate them to perform at their best level.

Coach junior staff members to develop their technical and personal skills.

Act as a role model for the Aviva values and inspire others to follow them.- Be actively involved in the actuarial community at Aviva.

What you'll bring- 7+ years of P&C experience with at least 3 years of Commercial pricing experience- ACAS/FCAS designation- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Statistics and/or related fields- Strong problem solving and excellent data analytical skills (SAS, R, Python, etc.)- Experience in working with catastrophe models is an advantage- Prior exposure in the corporate and specialty risk classes is preferred- Innovative and proven ability to drive through change- Skilled communicator; with proven track records to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical audience
