Patriot Forge is currently seeking a full time shipper to join our team.

Identify parts to be shipped by the shop order number
Transport parts to the shipping department
Check prior operations on the shop order to ensure they have been completed
Weigh the parts and record the weights on the shop order. Measure the length of random length bars and record them on the shop order. Verify other dimensions when specified on the shop order
Perform final BHN as per shop order requirements
Stamping, marking and labeling of parts/package as defines on shop order, drawing or procedure
Packing of parts: skids, shrink wrap, crates as required by purchase order or shop order. All overseas shipments must be crated
Review of shop order accuracy and ensure all previous operations have been signed off
Performing final dimensional inspection on "as forged product"
Ensure other final inspection and shop order requirement are met before packaging or crating such as PMI, QA over check, visual inspection, source inspection, etc.
Ensure all finished machined product and ready to ship product is protected as per Patriot Process Specifications
Weighing and recording shipping weight on each shop order including number of skids or crates
Maintain files of packing lists and bill of ladings after being signed by carriers
Measure and record the Brinell hardness
Visually examine parts for damage
Inspect, mark and package goods for shipping per shop order
Loan and unload trucks safely
Receive supplies
Arranging scrap, garbage and wood bin pickup
Run shipping saw as necessary
Maintain good housekeeping (5S) in Shipping area
Comply with company policies and procedures
Lift up to fifty pounds as required
Perform additional responsibilities as required and appointment by management
Work various shifts as required

Qualifications:

Completion of Grade 12 or 2 years' experience working in a similar position is an asset for incumbents.
Familiarity with material handling equipment (overhead cranes and forklifts) and the safe handling of large objects.
Previous experience working with steel would be an asset.
Demonstrated strong organizational, planning, coordination and priority setting skills to complete multiple tasks and projects
Good command of the English language both written and verbal
Demonstrated communication, problem solving, interpersonal and analytical skills
Ability to work with little supervision.
