We currently have an opportunity for an Analyst, Corporate Tax to join our Corporate Tax Department located in our Winnipeg Head Office.

In this role you will work directly with members of the tax team and indirectly with other financial staff of the company.

This role will be involved in assisting and supporting tax compliance, reporting and tax audits with emphasis on Canadian tax compliance, provision and other general corporate tax work or projects as required.


Responsibilities:


  • Preparation of quarterly and yearend Canadian income tax provisions
  • Preparation of Canadian corporate income tax returns
  • Assist in audit processes with the Canadian federal and provincial tax authorities.
  • Review, monitor and respond to incoming tax assessments and notices
  • Assist in the maintenance of tax continuity schedules for all Canadian corporate income tax accounts
  • Assist with researching and responding to indirect tax queries
  • Calculate Canadian income tax installments

Qualifications:

  • Postsecondary degree or diploma in accounting, finance or a related program
  • Experience in the preparation of corporate tax returns, income tax provisions and government audit assistance
  • Indirect tax experience would be an asset
  • Over 2 years of tax and accounting experience
  • Proficient in MS office suite
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective work relationships with a variety of internal and external contacts
  • Strong organizational and communication skills attention to detail is imperative
