Become part of a highly focused and "best in class" group, providing strategic advice to Cadillac Fairview's senior management team regarding its industry leading portfolio of retail and office assets.

Identify, scope, and deliver insights that will inform the development and delivery of CF's strategic plan, including industry trends, business drivers, competitive advances, CF performance evaluations, as well as uncovering and evaluating opportunities to drive growth and value for the business.

This role will primarily focus on CF's Canadian portfolio of retail and office assets but could explore other asset classes and geographies as needed.

This role collaborates with various internal departments, at all levels of management, including, leasing, operations, marketing development, finance, legal and investments, to create and execute strategic projects.


_ What you will deliver:
_


  • Support the Sr. Manager, Business Performance & Insights with the research, analysis, and insights that facilitate the delivery of CF's strategic plan and special projects requested by the executive team and senior management, this could include analyses regarding growth opportunities, operational efficiency and effectiveness, new innovation concepts, and business model impacts from industry changes and new trends
  • Translate highlevel project requirements into an outline of required research and analyses to satisfy the project's deliverables; establish work plans, monitor progress against goals, and conduct status updates to adjust approaches as required
  • Manage the daytoday delivery of project/analysis insights, including scope definition, priority setting, research, analysis, insight synthesis, report creation and communication including but limited to; retail or category studies, office insights and quarterly reports.
  • Develop and manage financial models as they relate to scenario analyses, pilot concepts, and business model impacts
  • Provide reliable and timely interpretation of analysis and financial models that is synthesized for various levels of decision makers, including senior management and the executive team
  • Provide additional analyses and insights to support the Sr. Manager, Business Performance & Insights with CF's strategic plan development and monitoring of strategic plan progress, including updates of CF's business environment assessment and key business drivers, competitive and industry advances, and other analyses as required.
  • Collaborate with project team members from across the business to gain input on approach, analyses, and the feasibility of recommendations, as well as outline pilot approaches and/or rollout plans
  • Stay current on, and share with the Sr. Manager, Business Performance & Insights and other Research & Insights team members, new industry trends or disruptors in commercial real estate, retail and office, and technology advances/changes impacting these industries; over time increase knowledge of other asset classes and geographies that CF owns and operates in
  • Prepare and present memoranda and presentations for senior management, including the executive team
  • Periodically assist other departments including leasing, operations, marketing, development, finance, legal and investments on special projects or other strategic analyses

_What you need to succeed:_

  • An undergraduate or postgraduate degree in Business/Commerce, Finance, Economics, or Real Estate
  • A minimum 5+ years of work experience in a multisector real estate, consulting, retail, private equity, or investment banking firm in a financial analysis, internal consulting, or corporate strategy capacity
  • Demonstrated experience in data visualization and graphical presentation of quantitative data using software such as Tableau
  • Experience with Alteryx and programming languages such as Python/SQL considered an asset
  • Experience with the Environics suite of products considered an asset
  • Highly proficient analytical/quantitative/financial modeling skills in Microsoft Excel, as well as presentation creation skills in PowerPoint; Possession of (or working towards) a CFA/MBA or other professional designation considered an
