Responsibilities:


  • Be a courageous safety leader, adhere to and sponsor safety and environmental rules and procedures.
  • Be responsible for the Agile maturity journey for an assigned domain/portfolio/team of teams pathing out and documenting their plan with them to reach their maturity goals.
  • Ensure Scrum, Kanban, and/or Scaled Agile practices are used and improved within and across teams.
  • Combines Agile methods with Lean methodologies and nonAgile techniques, such as the Waterfall method, to obtain the best collaborative results.
  • Support, write and document practices into processes as part of the Management Operating System.
  • Complete plans that support the department reach their set objectives.
  • Develop, coach, and mentor highly effective teams.
  • Provide Agile training to teams and individuals at our Vancouver, Calgary locations and various Teck operational sites.
  • Work closely with key collaborators to define areas of the program, and understand the impact of change (process, framework, culture).
  • Use industry standard methodologies in identifying process improvements, and Agile methodologies to help teams deliver business value.
  • Facilitate inperson events and workshops.
  • Ensure teams actions are aligned with product goals/vision.
  • Support and mentor the planning and delivery of team onboarding, uplifting, and/or accelerator programs.
  • Provide mentorship when required for teams to guide an Agile approach to daily meetings, planning, teamwork, and running workflow.
  • Facilitate project status meetings, team meetings, and other team/projectrelated communications.
  • Add to Teck's library of Agile knowledge through the development of Agile Playbook articles, blogs, case studies, podcasts, or generation of video content.
  • Use empiricism to improve product value and bring transparency to build trust and strengthen relationships between the delivery group and business customers.
  • Cultivate a continuous learning environment helping teams to inspect & adapt.
  • Facilitate both virtual and in person workshops and engagements to support the progress of transformation.
  • Support both colocated and distributed teams.

Qualifications:


  • Postsecondary education in business, engineering, computer science or a directly related field.
  • Elevated Certifications: A-CSM, CSP-SM, SAFe, PSM III, ICAgile ICE-AC, and/or Scrum Alliance Guide Level / "Path to" certifications.
  • 5+ years of handson experience leading and delivering large scale, sophisticated multiyear projects and teams
  • 2+ years of handson change management and documentation experience
  • Excellent presentation, training, and coaching skills, a working engagement product is the highest measure of progress, you also bring concise narratives and strong transparency through highquality presentation documents.
  • A strong bias for action, you are highly motivated and comfortable with change and creating clarity where there is ambiguity.
  • Know how to leverage a core skillset to drive action and results on any project.
  • Proven experience mentoring and coaching Agile delivery teams.
  • Experience transforming business processes alongside systems in an engaging and transparent way that helps others in the business adapt and support the changes.
  • Consistent track record of completing projects and getting the job done.
  • Practiced in interpersonal, cultural, or digital transformation.
  • Understanding of DevOps and DevOps tools is desirable (Azure DevOps in particular)
  • Hardworking problem solver and facilitator who thrives in navigating ambiguous situations.
  • Excellent executive function skills proven through excellent organizational, time management, and problemsolving skills.
  • Able to work in a hybrid environment (remote/inoffice).
  • PMP designation or Agile Certified would be an asset.
  • Experience in mining and/or operations would be an asset.
  • An MBA or advanced degree will be an asset.
