Exciting opportunity to join the Credits & Incentive team of a leading accounting & advisory firm.

We are currently seeking an exceptional Supervisor to be based in either Toronto, Kitchener or Nova Scotia.

In this role you will be a client facing expert delivering SR&ED services to many clients in the middle market, developing and cultivating client relationships.


Responsibilities:


  • As a member of a team, provide exceptional customer service to the firm's clients by providing timely and responsive consulting services.
  • Perform or assist in technical interviews and ensure all essential technical information required is gathered for the preparation of the technical descriptions.
  • Prepare technical descriptions for the T661 tax form on or before agreed upon deadlines; concisely presenting technical content, rational, and arguments for eligibility.
  • Assemble sample of clients' technical documentation to support the SR&ED submissions.
  • Provide clients with professional and timely advice relating to documentation, the SR&ED program and its compliance.
  • Prepare resource utilization and assist with the Costing that is commensurate the technical descriptions.
  • Stay current with the innovations in your field of science or engineering.
  • Stay current with the latest developments and changes in the SR&ED legislation as well as case law.
  • Assist and guide clients during technical reviews with the CRA.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Preferred minimum 5 years of experience in preparing SR&ED tax credit claims.
  • University degree and/or strong technical expertise in a specific field of science and engineering (B.Sc., M.Sc. or PhD).
  • Willingness to develop an indepth understanding of the SR&ED program and contribute to the continually improving internal documentation, tools, methods, and models.
  • Outstanding oral communication skills and ability to articulately the subtleties of the SR&ED program, discuss in technical terms with our client's to draw out the development obstacles they faced, and advancements they made.
  • Excellent technical and persuasive writing skills, as well as, strong editorial capabilities.
  • Excellent time management skills essential in simultaneously handling multiple client assignments as well as the ability to work independently.
  • Ability to travel to client locations is desirable.
