  • Works cooperatively with the Sales Account Manager to review customer request for quotation.
  • Study customer RFQ, machine specification and other supplied documents such as CAD, GD&T, part drawings, sketches, sample materials and parts for concept generation.
  • Utilize technical knowledge and experience to verify the RoboTape solution for the purposes of creating a clear scope of work, identify all risk items created from part geometry, cycle time, process, and other factors.
  • Provide technical sales support to customers, offering solutions and addressing issues that arise during the sales cycle to ensure an optimized RoboTape solutions is presented.
  • Support the preparation of concept drawings, using Solidworks and/or AutoCAD, the sales sequence and cycle time charts, using Microsoft Excel, Project schedules, using MS Project and/or MS Excel, as required.
  • Prepares quotations and proposals
  • Discusses RoboTape automation projects with internal and external customers, including travel to customer facilities for discussions and presentations
  • Support of Trade Shows and organized Marketing events.
  • Support in the development of RoboTape marketing, advertising, and educational materials.
  • Work with RoboTape Operations team to support project kick off, review of deliverables, schedules, and hand off of project documentation package.
  • Continued involvement during system build, development, installation, and startup.
  • Occasional travel as required globally

  • Minimum Diploma in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering or Equivalent Specialized Experience.
  • Minimum 5+ Years' Experience within the Automation or Automotive Manufacturing Field on Mechanical Assemblies, PLC controls, and Robotics.
  • Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing concepts
  • Strong Electrical and/ or Mechanical assembly knowledge of custom automation
  • Electrical Code and CSA Knowledge
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
