Summary of Duties

Work Performed

  • Work collaboratively as part of a team to support the administration of services and contracts with designated service providers across the London region.
  • Develop, implement and maintain program and data systems to collect, analyse, monitor and report on data from designated service providers that affect London Regional Employment Services expenditures, budget, performance measurements, program outcomes, targets and funding allocations, ensuring adherence to Municipal and Provincial guidelines.
  • Create data dashboards, reports, and visualizations to highlight performance, trends, forecasts and projections. Interpret data patterns and trends, assess data quality and address outlier data.
  • Create documentation of the processes required to complete these tasks.
  • Liaise with service providers to establish particulars related to individual contracts including data collection and analysis, make recommendations and to address daytoday operational issues, escalating issues to the Manager as required.
  • Handle queries from the Province and service provider management for requested data analysis, reporting and quality assurance.
  • Assist in the development and preparation of Provincially mandated data submissions, activity reports and other ad hoc reporting as required.
  • Work closely with internal and external interestholders on the development, presentation, and implementation of London Regional Employment Services policies, processes and strategies.
  • Participate in the comprehensive review of programs and services for the purpose of enhancing local capacity, highlighting program effectiveness, quality assurance and improving program delivery across the region.
  • Coordinate flow of data from computer systems and other sources to efficiently and effectively record, store and report data points, working with Information Technology Services (ITS) staff as appropriate.
  • Work closely with internal and external interestholders on the development, analysis, sharing and presentation of employment and employment related data.
  • Contribute to the promotion of a serviceoriented culture and focus within work area.
  • Practice and promote the City of London's values in all work performed as an employee of the Corporation.
  • May be required to travel to employment centres and other agencies across London catchment area (London, St. Thomas as well as Elgin, Middlesex and Oxford counties).
  • Perform related duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Experience QUALIFICATIONS**:


Completion of a four-year University degree (Honours) from an accredited post-secondary school institution in one of the following: Statistics, Sociology, Psychology, Actuarial Sciences, Mathematics or equivalent field of study.


EXPERIENCE:

Three years of related in-depth experience in quantitative and qualitative data analysis, data collection, research, reporting and evaluation. Experience working in social services is an asset.

Advanced level of experience in data retrieval, data analysis and presentation (Cognos reports, PowerBI, Crystal reports, etc.)


Specialized Training & Licenses

  • Demonstrated understanding of issues related to unemployment and underemployment.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt information and research into effective employment programs, and information for target populations.
  • Ability to understand government programs and policies and develop appropriate metrics and measurement tools.
  • Demonstrated effective verbal, written, interpersonal, communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated exceptional relationshipbuilding skills with a diversity of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated project management skills.
  • Demonstrated excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to analyse problems, facilitate solutions and promote programs to effect change is required.

Compensation Range
$51,184 - $73,508

This position is being filled on a permanent full-time basis. This posting is for (1) position.
