    We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Bookkeeper. The ideal candidate will have a basic understanding of accounting principles and a strong desire to learn and grow in the field. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity for professional development and hands-on experience in financial management.



    Requirements

    Responsibilities:
    • Accurately record financial transactions.
    • Issuing cheques and initiating deposits.
    • Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records, ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
    • Reconcile bank statements to ensure the accuracy of financial records.
    • Identify and resolve discrepancies or issues in a timely manner.
    • Monitor and categorize company expenses, ensuring proper documentation.
    • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, summaries, and statements.
    • Generate routine financial reports to support decision-making processes.
    • Collaborate with team members and other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial information flow.
    Technical Skills:
    • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and financial processes.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is a MUST.
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
    • College or above in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
    • At least 1-2 years work experience in and finance or accounting role
    • Experience in the insurance brokerage is preferred (not must)
    • Experience with QuickBooks and PowerBroker
    • Your time management skills are top notch and your ability to prioritize and meet deadlines is your forte.
    Position is available to work out of Concord or Whitby office.
