Summary of Role
The Sales Manager is responsible for establishing and maintaining strong, comfortable relationships with existing, past and future guests while at the same time maximizing revenue.
They focus on converting inbound inquiries into sales that actualize, while delivering an exceptional guest experience and building guest loyalty.
Ultimately, they directly contribute to our goal of growing revenue and improving our competitive position.The Sales Manager will be representing the Four Points by Sheraton Edmonton South as well as the Travelodge Edmonton West.
Impact & Influence on Guests, Associates and Business
- Meet with and/or call on existing guest accounts for current, future and repeat business needs or opportunities
- Conduct hotel tours and showcase hotel products and services
- Point of contact for new closed business
- Deliver client proposals and contracts
- Manage and convert inbound sales inquiries from all channels
Education, Experience, and Skills - At least 1 year of hospitality experience or comparable sales experience.
- Demonstrated ability to interact in a team environment with several divisions and/or departments
- Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, listening)
- Computer skills and knowledge of various programs, Event Management Software an asset (CI/TY)
