    Your work environment at EXP

    In this role, you will be a part of the Land Development team, of the Infrastructure &Transportation sector, based in Calgary, AB office and have the opportunity to work with a great team.

    What a day at EXP has in store for you

    • Supervising activities on large scale residential, industrial, and commercial developments in and around Calgary, specific duties would include:
    • Managing all aspects of subdivision construction including earthworks, underground installations, concrete work, paving and shallow utility installations.
    • Coordinating activities with developers, builders, contractors and utility companies
    • Directing surveyors and inspectors on multiple sites
    • Maintaining public relations with clients and City of Calgary
    • Administering construction contracts
    • Approving contractor payments, including negotiations on quantities and force accounts as required
    • Organizing and leading onsite construction meetings
    • Mentoring and training junior field supervisors in all aspects of subdivision development

    What your experience looks like

    • Diploma at an accredited institution in Civil Engineering Technology or equivalent is an asset
    • Minimum of ten years' experience in engineering, consulting or construction.
    • Familiarity with the City of Calgary guidelines including CCC and FAC process
    • Must have strong people skills, and ability to work with wide variety of staff and clients
    • Must have strong communication skills, both written and verbal
    • Ability to multi-task is critical
    • Must be able to meet deadlines, well organized and able to work under pressure
    • AutoCAD experience, ideally Civil 3D would be an asset
    • Must have a valid driver's license
    • Must provide own vehicle for business use, which will be reimbursed on a per kilometer basis
