The
Advanced Care Paramedic (ACP), will provide immediate Advanced Life Support medical care when summoned without delay, properly triage, advise and/or arrange for timely transport to a health care facility as needed.

This is a full-time opportunity within the Northwest Territories. This is a fly-in, fly-out position (flying out of Edmonton), with a 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off rotation in a camp setting. Job starts in October 202- Health Benefits/Employee Assistance Program/LTD Provided

Duties/Responsibilities

Act in a professional manner that ensures the patient's dignity, safety, privacy and confidentiality, and decisionmaking are maintained
Provide immediate and professional medical care to injured workers onsite, and to arrange timely transport to the nearest medical care facility
Read, understand, and comply with DXP | HSE Integrated safety and medical services policies, Workplace Scope of Practice Guidelines, Medical Control Guidelines, as well as all applicable government laws and regulations.
Work within the ACP scope of practice determined by the National Occupational Competency Profile (NOCP), utilizing the DXP | HSE medical control guidelines

Required Qualifications

Previous working experience as a ACP at an ALS level
Physically capable of performing the following tasks:
Lifting up to 50lbs
Pushing / pulling (patients / objects)
Sitting / driving
Bending / kneeling / crouching
Working in adverse weather environments (heat / cold) and conditions (rain / wind / snow)

Required Certifications & Training

Current ACP license or certification with a paramedic governing body in Canada without conditions or restrictions.
Valid, unrestricted license with full driving privileges in the province of issue for the specified class of vehicle to be operated on behalf of the company or a higher class of license than that of the vehicle to be operated. (Class 4 driver's license)
It would be considered an asset to have Audio and Fit Testing training.
