    The *Control System Application and Management Specialist *is responsible for administering and maintaining the refinery process control and automation systems.

    This role is responsible for working with various groups to keep the refinery operating safely and efficiently and requires strong knowledge of many technologies such as Ethernet networking, domain administration, application support, data center maintenance and cyber security monitoring.

    *Your Responsibilities:
    • Develop recommendations for design changes, improvements and optimization
    • Lead upgrade projects and complete system implementation tasks
    • Configure and maintain automation system applications and databases
    • Perform work on OT control and communication systems such as PLCs and DCS controllers
    • Perform activities to support backup and patching processes
    • Perform administration tasks in Microsoft active directory
    • Perform daily system monitoring using management and security applications
    • Build, install and commission new systems to support growth of the infrastructure and maintain existing infrastructure with reliability and cybersecurity
    • Troubleshoot system and network issues, and provide solutions to problems, including participating in an on-call support rotation
    • Ensure system reliability through scheduled preventative maintenance activities and document new technical procedures or update existing, as required
    *Your Skills*:
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail
    • Excellent time management skills
    • Self-starter, ability to multitask, proven ability to effectively contribute in a collaborative team environment.
    • Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
    *Your Experience: * 5-10 years of related experience including 5 years industrial environment

    • Degree or Diploma in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or Technology
    • NBSCETT PTech Certification is an asset
    • Experience configuring and supporting OT networking and firewalls
    • Experience in cybersecurity and best practices in OT environments
    • Experience with computer hardware repair and replacement and computer data center upkeep and management
    • Experience building and administrating Windows servers and managing servers in a virtual environment
    • Experience with Ethernet networking, routing and administration
    • Experience with OT systems such as VFDs, PLCs, DCS
