    Opportunity

    We are seeking a Part-time Family Practice Nurse Practitioner for our Coalition Health Center in Fairbanks, AK. We offer flexible schedules (4x10s or 3x12s) to support work/life balance.

    • Support primary care and family practice services in Fairbanks.
    • Provide diverse services including x-rays, chronic disease management, sports physicals, and immunizations.
    • Be part of a passionate team dedicated to customer satisfaction, operational excellence, and fun.

    Qualifications

    • Active Alaska Nurse Practitioner license
    • Active BLS, ACLS, and DEA certifications
    • 3-5 years of relevant family practice and urgent care experience

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide primary care, including examinations, injury and illness management, and referrals.
    • Order, perform, interpret, and analyze diagnostic tests.
    • Prescribe medication and therapies within scope.
    • Perform medical procedures as appropriate.
    • Develop age- and culturally-appropriate treatment plans.
    • Manage patient care, monitor treatment, and adjust as needed.
    • Communicate effectively with patients and families.
    • Educate patients and provide educational materials.
    • Document in electronic medical records (Athena).
    • Delegate care activities to appropriate personnel.
    • Ensure continuity of care.
    • Collaborate with physician team members.
    • Become DOT certified within 3 months of hire.

    Physical Demands and Work Conditions

    Expect to spend time walking, standing, stooping, sitting, assisting with patient positioning, and some lifting.

    Contingencies

    Offer contingent upon passing pre-employment drug testing, physical exam, background check, and motor vehicle report.
