- Completion of a university degree in Civil Engineering
- 10+ years of design experience on land development projects
- Licensed as a Professional Engineer in Ontario
- Design skills with good working knowledge of AutoCAD/Civil3D
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English (French would also be an asset)
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, time management and ability to think creatively
- Sound understanding of the land development process
- Excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to work effectively independently or as part of a team
- Experienced with project management and has worked in, or understands the consulting engineering environment
- Working knowledge of modeling software (PCSWMM, HEC-RAS, WaterCAD, SewerCAD, EPANET, etc.)
- Possess a valid driver's license and have access to a vehicle with valid registration and insurance
- Management, support and being responsive to staff including workload planning, mentoring, training and communicating with all direct reports
- Completion of engineering design and for a wide variety of projects, with specific focus on components such as storm and sanitary services, water main, lot/site grading and drainage, stormwater management and utility coordination
- Developing and maintaining relationships with industry professionals, consultants and other business leaders
- Assistance with the organic growth of the Land Development group through the addition of key hires, new clients and the pursuit of potential new opportunities
- Provide leadership and mentoring for engineering interns and technologists and provide guidance and mentoring to more junior staff
- Prepare technical specifications and reports
- Liaise with clients, government and/or regulatory bodies as well as contractors
- Maintain positive client relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- In addition to your Project Management duties, as a Senior PM you will be responsible for working closely with clients as well as other MP staff and divisions to coordinate facilitation and completion of the work
- Preparation of engineering services proposals
- Monitor industry standards and developments, assessing client needs and make concrete decisions on proposed solutions
