Role Overview


Reporting to the Wealth Compliance and Operations Manager, the Sales Account Assistant is responsible for providing timely and accurate administrative and project support to the Credential Adviser Team within Assiniboine Financial Group.

The Sales Account Assistant ensures that the team is in compliance with legislative regulations and internal policies and procedures.


KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Accurately update information onto the Dataphile online systems

This includes:

setting up new client information, properly directing documentation to Credential for the Member's file and setting the new client up on the contact management system.


  • Follow up on trades to ensure that they are settled as per the clients wishes.
  • Provide administrative services to the advisors as it relates to member meetings such as, scheduling meetings, preparing client files prior to their scheduled appointments.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with fund companies and external providers as applicable.
  • Responsible for processing and followup on documentation (completed by the Advisers), and sending it off to the appropriate address.
  • Prepare daily deposits of incoming cheques from various sources and process deposits to the correct Trust/sweep accounts.
  • Generate daily production and commission reports.
  • Reconcile the Trust/sweep accounts daily and prepare a monthly report for Credential.
  • Investigate member account issues as requested.
  • Responsible and accountable for maintaining/followingup on items in the applicable administrative logs.
  • Responsible for preparing various client correspondences.
  • Employees are required to keep strictly confidential the affairs of anyone whose private information becomes available to them in the course of their duties.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and experience


This position requires a grade twelve diploma supplemented by post secondary education and one year of job related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Completion of the Canadian Securities Course or Mutual Funds License is an asset.

  • Proficient keyboard skills and knowledge of Eroworks and or banking software
