Scope of the Position:
The Smart Components Technical Sales Specialist is an outside technical sales role responsible for driving business growth in the Smart Components segment. This includes Industrial Components, Motor Control, Sensors, Safety, Condition Monitoring, Controllers, Distributed I/O, and Networks.
This role requires a proactive, consultative sales approach, strong technical expertise, and the ability to drive strategic, value-based sales conversations that position Smart Components as essential business solutions.
Major Responsibilities:
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering, Electrical Technologist –OR– equivalent combination of skills, experience or education
- TÜV or exida certification for Functional Safety is an asset
- 3 years of experience / knowledge applying Rockwell Automation's products or equivalent competitive solutions
- Regular travel to customers within assigned geography, and to US destinations for training will be required;
- Retain and convey a positive attitude in challenging circumstances
- Excellent technical writing & presentation skills with ability to present Rockwell Automation's value proposition to mid / large size groups of customers (external and internal) both commercially and technically.
- Demonstrates ability to work independently and be self-motivated
