_Catholic Social Services is currently recruiting for a full-time (40 hours/week) Community Disability Worker I in Red Deer._

Job Summary:

As a Community Disability Worker, you will provide high quality supports to adults with developmental disabilities who live in a residential setting.

Motivated, compassionate and organized, you will enthusiastically assist by providing residential supports while promoting dignity, independence and empowerment.

Open to learning new things, you will teach independent living skills, provide companionship, support behavioral challenges, provide personal care, and implement programs tailored to individual needs.

You will be required to accompany individuals on outings and engage in activities supporting their interests as well as their well-being.

You are self-motivated, resourceful, and comfortable working both independently and part of a service team. You have great relationship building skills and are proficient with computers.

Hours of work are based on the needs of the individual, therefore, shifts may vary and include days, evenings, and weekends.

Education and Qualifications:

Minimum Grade 12 education. A Diploma/Degree in Disability Services, Social Work or Human Services (or equivalent) is considered an asset
Minimum 6 months experience working with persons with developmental disabilities
Knowledge of community events considered an asset
Valid Emergency First Aid/CPR
Vulnerable Sector Check from local RCMP or city police detachment
Clear and Current Drivers Abstract
A vehicle and valid class 5 driver's license requirement to transport clients in your personal vehicle
Proof of Vehicle Insurance showing $2 million liability coverage
Current Vehicle Registration

What We Offer:

The compensation for this position is
$19.30 to $20.48 per hour based on qualifications and experience.
