    About this opportunity:

    As a member of the Downstream Maintenance, Reliability & Turnarounds Team in Downstream Technical Services, the Staff Reliability Engineer, Reliability & Maintenance Program Development will be accountable to develop and implement foundational components of the Asset Life Cycle to mitigate the risk of equipment failure.

    The successful candidate will be accountable to scope, lead and execute projects for maintenance and reliability master data creation for the entire equipment life cycle, with a focus on new capital projects as well as sustainment projects and MOCs.

    You will be responsible for the development and implementation of Reliability standards, processes, and tools, as well as collaborating with the asset-based teams to actively manage the preventive maintenance program and optimize it to maximize reliability, efficiency, and safety.

    Work Environment:

    • This is a full-time employee position based in Calgary.
    • Ability to travel to the field up to 20% of the time is required.

    What you'll do:

    • Lead and support Asset lifecycle development and sustainment projects, initiatives, and gap closure activities for the components of the asset life cycle such as:
      • Functional Location and Equipment hierarchy, including equipment master data.
      • Criticality analysis
      • Asset strategy development
      • Maintenance program development (maintenance plans, items, and task lists) for
      • Equipment Bill of Materials (BOMs), critical and operating spares and inventory levels
      • PM Optimization
      • Asset Performance Management
    • Coordinate the management and sustainment of master data, with a focus on capital projects and MOCs.
    • Support maintenance work planning, scheduling, and execution improvement initiatives
    • Support the development of job aids and training materials to enhance knowledge and utilization of SAP PM Module.
    • Analyze existing maintenance strategies and KPI's to determine opportunity for improvements and support or lead gap closure initiatives.
    • Support Process Safety Critical equipment identification and develops Maintenance Programs in alignment with SCE Performance Standards.
    • Support the development of job aids and training materials to enhance knowledge and utilization of SAP PM Module.

    Who you are:

    • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
    • Engineering Degree registered or eligible for registration with APEGA.
    • Certifications such as CMRP, MMP would be considered and asset.
    • Expert knowledge with 15+ years Maintenance, Reliability and Engineering Experience in Oil and Gas
    • Expert knowledge with 10+ years' experience with Maintenance Management system, Asset Strategy development, Reliability analysis, Master Data Management and process development and implementation
    • 10+ years of experience with SAP PM, MM.
    • Experience in large facility operating environments, preferably downstream facilities such as petroleum refining, upgrading and ideally working in or directly with maintenance and operations teams.
    • Knowledge and experience with safe work practices in oil and gas production accompanied by a superior safety attitude.
    • Experience with GE APM is considered and asset.
    • Familiarity and experience with industry standards related to equipment reliability, safety, and risk management.
    • Strong experience with management of change with large stakeholder groups related to maintenance and reliability, leading projects end to end.
