The Print Supervisor is responsible for the completion of all daily print production jobs and Special Handling assignments to ensure all Client SLAs and quality requirements are met in the most cost-effective manner.

The supervisor delegates work to assigned staff in the Print and Special Handling Areas and prioritizes jobs to ensure the operation is running efficiently.

The Supervisor monitors the performance of their assigned staff and reports any production, employee or attendance issues to the Operations Manager.

They also coordinate resources between departments to ensure production is optimized, while maintaining high quality standards.

The supervisor works with management to ensure that appropriate staff levels are maintained and all associates are accurately trained to perform their functions.


Key Job Functions/Responsibilities- Effectively deal with employee related issues and ensure that assigned staff are effectively utilized to optimize team performance.- Provide ongoing feedback to assigned associates, through the preparation of periodic performance reviews to recognize/reward strong performance, as well as counsel for improvement and ensure accountability when necessary.- Support the development and maintenance of a strong culture by actively participating in GPTW initiatives and engaging fully in Broadridge's diversity, equity, and inclusion programs.- Responsible for understanding applicable Broadridge policies and procedures, as well as requirements of ISO and other Standards.- Collaborate with internal and external auditors, provide requested documentation, and follow up on audit reports, as applicable.- Schedule print production according to established priorities and assign print jobs to the appropriate production queues, printers and associates to minimize costs while meeting all client SLAs.- Maximize equipment usage by ensuring operators have a continual workstream.- Schedule associates to designated equipment/tasks based on production schedule and operator abilities.- Investigate reported equipment issues and escalate requests for service as necessary.- Report all production issues to Operations Manager, providing all pertinent information.- Create Supportal, Remedy and ITSM tickets.- Set stock priorities for material handlers to ensure materials can acclimatize and maximize equipment productivity and efficiency.- Ensure all reprints from the shift have been scheduled and completed.- Facilitate turnover with previous and incoming shifts to ensure production continuity.- Gather monthly statistical counts for reporting.- Fulfill Special Handling requests from Client Services.- Chair daily quality circles with Print Team.- Work with management to ensure assigned staff are properly trained to perform required functions, and schedules training as required throughout the year.

Ensure operators follow all production processes properly.- Other duties as required.- Must be flexible to work overtime, including weekends.

Basic Skill Level Requirements


Education:


  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration (Finance, Accounting, Marketing, Management) or a related field is required.

Experience:


  • At least 3 years of production operations, manufacturing, or related experience, including one year in a supervisory capacity

Skills:


  • Have strong analytical skills with the ability to accurately prepare various reports and analyze data to make operational decisions that improve productivity, efficiency and quality.
  • Have solid organizational skills with the ability to multitask and effectively manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment.
  • Possess outstanding interpersonal, teamwork, oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be detailoriented and able to review printed documents to ensure that they meet quality standards.
  • Must be a selfstarter and demonstrate strong initiatives.
  • Have the ability to stand for long periods of time.
  • Have the technical aptitude to learn and understand how production equipment operates, what their throughput rates/capacities are, etc.

Tools:

  • Strong PC/systems skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
