Position Summary:
North Toronto Soccer's Advanced Development Program provides players aged 10
- 12
and refine their skills.
The Advanced Development Program consists of both under-11 and under
- 12
Groups for boys and girls. Within the Age Group coaches work with closely with a
select group of players known as a Pod. Pods are selected based on level of play, but
movement between Pods can be facilitated.
Each Pod trains three times per week and play a weekly game.
Head Coaches are responsible for leading all aspects of team operations including:
- Planning & delivering training sessions according to the Age Group scheme of work
- Coaching games
- Facilitating tryouts
- Providing player feedback
- Maintaining good communication with players and families
- Regular communication with the Manager, Advanced Development Program***
Experience & Training: - Experience working with Grassroots players between the ages of 9-12
- Learn to Train Community Workshop (S4L)
- C Licence preferred
- Respect in Sport (RIS)
- Making Ethical Decisions (MED)
- Making Headway
- NCCP Emergency Action Planning
- The certifications above are mandatory requirements to coach Grassroots Soccer in
online. The Club will provide some assistance to coaches requiring these certifications.
