    About AlphaDesk


    AlphaDesk is LSEG's Order and Portfolio Management Software. It develops and supports the software for hedge funds and asset managers globally. Our team has strong technical skills, and the quality of our software and client services is at the core of our business. AlphaDesk is central to the buy‑side investment workflow. Clients use AlphaDesk to manage and handle the trading, monitoring, and reporting of their investments. They value our consultative approach and high‑quality implementations. We deploy AlphaDesk and integrate with trading brokers, custodians and other third parties to enable straight‑through processing across the investment lifecycle. We are responsive and efficient in delivering implementations and support, which are strengths of our overall offering. Our implementations team is responsible for our continued success in this area.

    The Role


    The role requires technical, project management and leadership capabilities. The technical aspect includes collecting requirements, configuring AlphaDesk, supplying functional specifications and testing solutions for new and existing clients. You will be responsible for client implementation projects and for coordinating a team of specialists assigned to the project. You are encouraged to ensure implementations are completed in a timely manner, so projects go live on schedule.

    Responsibilities

    • Work with clients to understand their business and workflow requirements, and assemble those into project scope documents, functional specifications, change requests and client support runbooks.
    • Build project plans, supervise delivery and manage resources to ensure projects are completed on time and to a high quality.
    • Contribute directly to the deployment and configuration of AlphaDesk for clients, and deliver various implementation tasks.
    • Keep clients updated on project status and risks by leading regular project meetings and maintaining proactive communication.
    • Facilitate and conduct user training.
    • Prioritize and determine solutions, and make recommendations that align with objectives and relevant constraints.
    • Translate client requirements into tasks and functional specifications for development.
    • Ensure quality remains high and the solution meets requirements; support test plans and conduct testing.

    Requirements

    • Undergraduate degree, preferably in engineering, computer science, information technology, science or equivalent experience.
    • At least 4 years in a technical role, preferably in financial markets or investment management.
    • Experience working directly with internal and external clients.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and colleagues.
    • In-depth understanding of buy‑side workflows for portfolio management, trading/settlement, reconciliation, accounting and reporting.
    • Solid grasp of Order and Portfolio Management Systems.
    • Ability to handle and prioritize numerous tasks and work independently.
    • Excellent teammate with a consultative approach to problem‑solving.
    • SQL knowledge.
    • Willingness to learn emerging technologies and new software.
    • Good time‑management skills and ability to work optimally under time constraints.
