    Production Supervisor

    Working Model: Onsite

    Location: Windsor, ON

    Where the Chemistry Happens...


    As a Production Supervisor you will be accountable for the work of the hourly employees in meeting the objective of a safe, efficient and timely production of quality products in an environment of changing customer demands. By leadership and example, you will train and educate employees regarding health and safety, job methods, waste minimization, commitment to excellence and job performance. You will also be responsible for recording pertinent production and accident statistics.

    Formula for Success: You Will...

    • Rotate on shift basis in the paint-manufacturing department.
    • Produce quality products in the most efficient and safe manner.
    • Train, re-train and instruct employees in all aspects of their jobs.
    • Maintain proper housekeeping at all time and continuously upgrade the standard as well as maintaining production statistics.
    • Administer the collective agreement, and participate in revisions of S.O.P.s and T.J.A.s.
    • Assume responsibility for security and control of the facility on the off-shifts.
    • Assume prime responsibility for department: safety; inspections; audits; training and accident / incident reporting.
    • Serve as Emergency Response Coordinator on off-shifts and alternative on day shift, but also serve as a Maintenance Supervisor on off-shifts.
    • Organize work for all shifts and order raw materials from warehouse.
    • Requisition all necessary department supplies and materials.
    • Regulatory updates on time and attendance cards for subordinate payrolls.

    Ingredients for Success: What We Look for in You...

    • Post secondary education required - Technical disciplines preferred.
    • Knowledge of Mechanical Aptitude.
    • In-depth and broad experience in paint process and manufacturing methodology.
    • Familiarity with and adherence to legislative and corporate policies, particularly in areas of health and safety and the environment.
    • Strong analytical, troubleshooting and computer related skills.
    • Ability to direct and motivate subordinates within a unionized setting.
    • Well-developed analytical and organizational skills.
    • Ability to communicate with subordinates, peers and supervisors particularly in areas of job instruction, quality and performance.
    • Demonstrated ability to achieve excellent results through operational discipline.
