Syntronic is looking for an IT Specialist who can thrive in a dynamic and inclusive environment.

This position reports to the VP Operations & Finance and is responsible for collaborating with team members and internal clients to provide effective solutions.

The IT Specialist actively supports Syntronic initiatives by documenting requirements, implementing solutions, and reporting progress.


What you'll do:


  • Support the daytoday operations of our IT network.
  • Order and configure equipment for new hires.
  • Install new software and hardware components.
  • Educating coworkers about network security and best practices for computer usage.
  • Regularly evaluate our IT systems to ensure they meet the necessary demands.
  • Assisting with network administration tasks.
  • Ensuring data is safe and secure.
  • Prepare project status reports

What you MUST have to get the job done:

  • Experience providing technical support to companies with 100+ employees.
  • Strong analytical, diagnostic, and problemsolving skills.
  • Good communication ability, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to exercise judgment and initiative.
  • Ability to exercise tact and discretion.
  • Ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to take direction and follow established processes.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and to maintain effective and harmonious working relationships.
  • Ability to actively listen and understand customer issues.
  • Minimum 3 years experience setting up and troubleshooting various technical equipment such as laptops, video conferencing systems, mobiles, etc.
  • Experience in Windows 10, and Linux OS including OS installation, patching, and troubleshooting
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, College Diploma in IT or equivalent industry certification(s) is highly desirable.

What will make us REALLY love you:

  • Networking skills: setting up and administration of network switches. Troubleshooting and resolving network issues.
  • Enterprise experience in operating, monitoring and troubleshooting complex networks, specifically LAN, WAN and Wi-Fi.
  • Experience with DNS, DHCP, VPN, routing and switching and routing protocols
