Position Description:


Under the direct supervision of the Director of Operations, the Yard and External Maintenance Staff will provide general external maintenance and upkeep to the exterior properties of YWCA Regina.

Upkeep of the properties will include ensuring they are clean, well-kept and proactively maintained. This position will be responsible for the upkeep on the interior of one residential property. This team member will work closely with maintenance team members to provide support if needed.


Responsibilities:


  • External property cleaning and upkeep (landscaping, snow removal, basic maintenance to property and building exterior)
  • Provide appropriate seasonal maintenance for the YWCA properties
  • General maintenance and upkeep to internal properties
  • Provide support to maintenance team when needed
  • Work on call shift in rotation

Qualifications:


  • Clear effective communication, time management skills, detailoriented perspective
  • General maintenance experience
- specific to outdoor properties including a working knowledge

of yard maintenance equipment (lawn mower, snow blower, tree trimmer, etc.)

  • Experience in exterior residential and commercial property upkeep and maintenance
  • Highly organized and efficient with a methodical approach to work practices with strong
emphasis on safety and quality.

  • Skills in problemsolving, managing multiple demands, and responding appropriately to
incidents as they arise to meet associations needs

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Strength to perform continual physical labour and lift items over 50lbs
  • Project, disaster, crisis cleaning and response
  • Ability to work outdoors in allweather environment
  • Cultural awareness, and respect for women and families of various backgrounds;
  • Working from a feminist, antioppressive / antiracist perspective;
  • Experience using the Microsoft Office and Google platforms;
  • WHIMIS
  • High school diploma/GED.
  • Valid 5th Class Saskatchewan Driver's License
  • First Aid/CPR-C.
  • Fall Protection Certification or obtain within 3 months of hire date

Job Types:
Part-time, Permanent

Part-time hours: 23.5 per week


Salary:
$17.50 per hour
