Part Time Certified Dental Assistant Position - Vancouver, Canada - Cambie Marine Gateway Dental

Description

• Assist the dentist during dental procedures
• Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations
• Take and develop dental xrays
• Sterilize and maintain dental instruments and equipment
• Provide patients with instructions for oral care following surgery or other dental treatment procedures
• Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques
• Take and record patients' vital signs
• Update and maintain patient records in electronic health record systems such as Epic
• Assist with dental lab work, including pouring and trimming models, fabricating temporary crowns, and processing dental impressions

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited dental assisting program preferred
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality
• Proficiency in medical imaging software and CAD/CAM systems
• Experience in assisting with dental procedures and familiarity with dental terminology
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, such as Epic, for maintaining patient records
• Ability to take accurate vital signs and record them in patient charts
• Knowledge of medical coding and billing procedures related to dental services is a plus
• Strong understanding of human anatomy as it relates to dental procedures

• 8 hour shift
• No weekends

• Certified Dental Assistant (required)
