    Reporting to the HR Manager who is based in Toronto, you will serve as the location's HR representative fulfilling the following responsibilities.

    Recruitment
    As part of the HR Team, support full cycle recruitment including workforce planning, candidate sourcing, screening, and interviewing to ensure a strong person-job match
    Build partnerships within the community to maintain strong candidate pipelines throughout Windsor and surrounding areas
    Prepare, coordinate, and deliver the onboarding process including HR and Safety Orientations
    Health & Safety
    Respond to health and safety-related inquiries from supervisors, and employees
    Prepares appropriate health and safety reports, conducts health and safety concerns and issues, and attends operations meetings to review health and safety concerns and issues
    Support the Safety team with coordinating training, safety bulletin board updates, incident investigations, return to work management, and other safety-related functions
    Coordinate regular safety inspections, hazard assessments, and job safety analysis with collaboration with third-party safety consultants
    Identifies any health and safety hazards as they arise and ensure they are addressed by flagging to Health and Safety Director
    Prepare reports detailing health and safety issues by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends, for the Health and Safety Director's attention
    Track compliance training needs for employees and arrange for required training ensuring all employer obligations are met
    Human Resources/Employee Relations
    Respond to health and safety-related inquiries from supervisors, and employees
    Supporting managers, supervisors, and employees with human resource and safety-related functions and inquiries
    Coordinate employee training programs in line with company initiatives
    Participate in the design and implementation of HR Software
    Assist with employee relation matters and provide recommendations to management in consultation with HR Manager
    Conduct research and generate reports to support the HR Department's operations
    Support the Performance Review process ensuring timely adherence to policy
    Maintain accurate and up-to-date personnel records for Attendance, Training, Disciplinary Actions, and Performance Appraisals
    Post-Secondary Education / Certificate in Human Resources Management or a related field
    Two to three years of relevant experience as an HR Coordinator or in a similar role, ideally in a unionized environment
    Strong technology skills including proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
    Working knowledge of employment-related legislation and regulations including the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Employment Standards Act, Ontario Human Rights Code, and Workers' Compensation
    Construction Industry experience would be an asset
    Experience administering and processing payroll is also an asset
