Full Time Barista - York, Canada - The Rosemount Cafe

Description

• Previous experience as a barista (at least 1 year) knowledge of different coffee brewing methods
• Prepare and serve a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee & tea
• Take customer orders and process payments using debit / credit machines
• Provide excellent communication and customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and making recommendations
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee shop, including restocking supplies and cleaning equipment
• Ability to handle a commercial oven and bake frozen products
• Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines while handling and preparing food items
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient operation of the coffee shop

• Previous experience in a food service or retail environment is preferred
• Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations
• Ability to multitask and work in a fastpaced environment
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes and instructions accurately
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift up to 25 pounds
