General Purpose of this Position:


Reporting to the Accounts Receivable Supervisor, the Finance and Administration clerk provides effective clerical assistance to the Accounts Receivable team, including compiling, organizing, and reviewing financial supporting documentation for client invoicing.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


Health and Safety

  • Work in compliance with all Health and Safety rules and regulations for Cementation.
  • Be aware of any health and safety hazards or infractions and report same to Health and Safety Department.
  • Participate in department safety huddles and incident imaging.

General Responsibilities

  • Review of financial documents (Purchase Orders, Packing Slips and Supplier invoices), ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Obtain client billing information from multiple sources.
  • Provide clerical assistance to the Finance team.
  • Provide combined electronic copies of financial documents required for client invoicing.
  • Scan documents and attach to the appropriate module in JD Edwards.
  • Provide support for the invoicing process.
  • Perform other duties, as assigned.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:


  • Ability to work effectively in a paperless environment, strong knowledge of Adobe Acrobat software.
  • Experience with accounting and financial reporting software.
  • Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Able to effectively prioritize workload to ensure deadlines are met.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team, as well as independently.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Possess problem solving, analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Proven ability to deal with confidential information.
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude.

Education and Experience:


  • Diploma in the Business Administration field or relevant work experience within a Finance Department
years of experience in a Finance role.

  • Experience in mining industry is an asset.

Travel Requirements:


  • This position would not normally have the requirement to travel.
