Salto Restaurant & Bar, a family-owned Italian restaurant in the heart of Toronto, is seeking a passionate and experienced Line Cookto join our team.

Position Overview:


As a Line Cook at Salto, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the quality standards our guests have come to expect.

Your expertise will contribute to delivering authentic Italian cuisine crafted with care and served in a warm, welcoming environment.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with recipes and standards.
  • Ensure all dishes are made fresh to order and meet our quality expectations.
  • Work efficiently in a fastpaced kitchen to maintain service speed and presentation.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop solutions for any challenges that arise.
  • Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage.
  • Contribute to a friendly and inviting atmosphere in both the kitchen and the restaurant.

Requirements:


  • 23 years of experience as a Line Cook in a fastpaced restaurant environment.
  • Preferably with experience in preparing Italian cuisine.
  • Ability to work evening shifts from Tuesday to Saturday, starting at 4pm.
  • Flexibility to adapt to schedule changes as we expand our service to include lunch hours within the next 34 weeks (shifts will then start at 11am).
  • A team player with a positive attitude and a solutionsoriented mindset.
