    Position: Senior Radiation Surveyor

    Looking for Candidates in Canada/USA/UK/Australia/New Zealand

    Terms of Employment: Full-time / Temporary

    Locations: Chalk River, Ontario

    Port Hope, Ontario

    Rolphton, Ontario

    Bruce, Ontario

    Employment Address: Canadian Nuclear Laboratories, 17 Plant Road, Chalk River, Ontario, K0J 1J0 (Primary Work Location where employees will report to work and be assigned to other sites from)

    Hours of Work: 37.5 hours/week

    Language: English

    Benefits:

    · Eligible for per diem up to $750 CAD per week

    · Eligible for a retention bonus

    Salary: $58.97 CAD per hour

    Duties:

    · Conduct radiation, contamination surveys in compliance with ES&H and RP programs of natural environment, nuclear facilities and or potential nuclear environments

    · Collect samples for analysis, identify, monitor and control spills of hazardous chemicals and nuclear contamination

    · Survey and inspect work areas for nuclear hazards, construction /deconstruction health hazards

    · Develop and implement health and safety plans

    · Ensure health and safety procedures and regulations are followed

    · Perform worker pre job briefs associated with known or possible hazards

    · Perform air sampling and data analysis

    · Perform and document logbook and computer updates of data collected

    · Perform posting and labeling verification of hazard identification per regulations and site specific procedures

    Requirements:

    · Completion of secondary school is required

    · 5+ years of experience in radiation protection

    · Criminal record check and basic security check

    · Valid driver's license and own transportation

    · Steel toed safety boots and cell phone

    · Good judgement and excellent oral and written communication skills

    · Client focused, team-player who is flexible

    · Attention to detail

    · Ability to sit, stand and walk for long periods
