- Interact directly with the children, providing quality care and creative programming
- Establish and maintain positive daily communication and interaction with families, providing excellent service and building meaningful relationships
- Implement YMCA A Place to Connect curriculum with the support of your leader
- Plan and implement an engaging and developmentally appropriate program of activities
- Ensure all safety and supervision standards are implemented and maintained according to licensing and YMCA requirements
- Must be 19 years of age & can provide three professional references
- Responsible Adult certification, equivalent child related training or a willingness to obtain training & Satisfactory Criminal Reference Check with clear Vulnerable Sector Search
- Current Child Care First Aid, CPR and AED certification or willingness to obtain
- Reliable transportation required
- As this role is funded by the Canada Summer Jobs Grant, preference will be given to applicants who meet the Canadian Summer Jobs Grant Criteria
- Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the beginning of the employment period*;
- Be a Canadian citizen or a permanent resident,
- Have a valid Social Insurance Number
- Job duration: Must be between 6 and 16 consecutive weeks.
- Job hours: Must be full-time (35 to 40 hours per week).
