Our services include but are not limited to; comprehensive quoting & inspections of the track, preparing annual maintenance program plans, providing required track materials, and performing necessary maintenance needed throughout the industry. We are currently looking for a motivated and experienced
Boom Truck & Equipment Operator to join our team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Ensuring safety is a priority to self, coworkers, the public, and the assets of the company and following policies and procedures set out by the company
Operate one or more railspecific machines such as but not limited to the spiker, speed swing, regulator, Tripp, loader, backhoe, excavator or other as per the operator's manual
A daily walkaround inspection of the machine, general housekeeping of the machine, and minor repairs when necessary to ensure a safe operation
Daily administration of logbooks
Compliance with track rules and instructions according to CROR
Assist with manual labor when needed
Communicate effectively with coworkers, supervisors, and managers
Meet productivity level mandates set out by the supervisor or manager
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements:

Ontario driver's license with a clean driver's abstract.
High school or GED
DZ is an Asset but not required.
Must be able to pass all required training, background check, and drug & alcohol testing.
Previous rail experience is an asset
Ability to work independently or in a team setting
Willing to work overtime and be on call
Basic mechanical aptitude is required
Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Previous Railroad Experience is an asset
Familiarity with Canadian Rail Operating Rules; Current Certification is an asset, but not required
Crane Fundamentals or similar certification
Experience with dangle head grapple attachments
Good hand and eye coordination
